Coronavirus (Covid 19) - A Message from the Pastor

April 16, 2020 - A weekly message from our Pastor.

    A Message from our Pastor

    Springfield,

What a mighty God we serve! Angels bow before Him. Heaven and Earth adore Him. What a mighty God we serve!

I hope you all are well and safe. I am continuing in prayer for each and everyone of the members of the Springfield Baptist Church at this unprecedented time. From the youngest to the oldest, we are all in this together. I am so grateful for the ways our church is pulling together. We continue to show that we are connected even though we have not been able to worship together. Many of you have called to check in on Springfield members, Springfield visitors and your own personal pew partners. What a wonderful way to spread encouragement and cheer at these difficult times.

    CORONAVIRUS CARE PACKAGE GIVEAWAY
I have been overwhelmed by the response to our “Coronavirus Care Package” giveaway. A brief video of the event is now linked to our Springfield webpage. Check it out if you get a chance. It was sincerely an awesome event and I am grateful to all who helped make it possible. We are planning to do another giveaway soon. Stay tuned for more details about when and how.

    STAY TUNED
Please know that Springfield is doing all we can to be creative, innovative, relevant and impactful at this time. I praise God for a wonderful staff who are helping keep ministry moving. We are planning several new and exciting things that I believe will be a blessing to you and your family. I look forward to being able to share more details with you soon.

    CHILDREN’S SUNDAY
Children’s Sunday is this coming Sunday (April 19, 2020). I want to remind you to make sure your children watch Sunday’s Livestream to hear a sermon especially for them. They are being greatly impacted by the disruption in their regular routine and they need to hear from the Lord too. I’m planning a special surprise for Sunday’s service that I hope will bless them. Let’s continue to pray for our children.

Let’s also pray for our first responders, essential personnel and all those on the front lines of this pandemic. May God continue to bless, protect, strengthen, and uplift those who are doing His work at this difficult time.

As usual, Keep the faith, Stay Safe & Wash Your Hands!

    In Jesus Name,
    Pastor
