A Message from the Pastor - October 1, 2020

New Sermon Series, Free FAFSA Workshop, Community Outreach, Leadership Meeting, Homecoming and more!

    Hi Springfield,

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2 (KJV) I am holding on to this scripture today. I pray that you will with me. These verses have encouraged me in the past few days. When we look at many of the circumstances around us politically, socially and globally it might make you want to hang your head. Don’t! Lift up your head and your eyes to the hills because OUR HELP COMES FROM THE LORD.

    HE’S GOD

On Sunday the new Fall preaching series “He’s God” will begin. You don’t want to miss this series! Tune in and tell a friend.

    FREE FAFSA WORKSHOP

On October 10th at 9:30am the Scholarship Ministry will host a virtual FAFSA workshop. This workshop is aimed at helping parents and high school seniors complete the federal student aid forms to prepare for college. You can register for this workshop by going to our church website or by sending an email to .

    COMMUNITY OUTREACH

On that same day our church will take part in a community outreach event being sponsored by the Garner Police Department. The outdoor event will be held in the parking lot of the Aversboro Road Baptist Church, 1885 Aversboro Rd., Garner, NC. Springfield’s portion of the program will begin at 2pm and will feature prayer and praise. Come out, wear your mask and let’s praise God together.

    LEADERSHIP ZOOM MEETING

We are tentatively planning a leadership meeting for Saturday, October 17th at 11am. We are asking all ministry leaders to plan to join us via ZOOM on that day. More details to come.

    HOMECOMING 2020!

Homecoming 2020 is just around the corner. We will celebrate homecoming one month from today on Sunday, November 1st.  This year’s homecoming will be different no doubt, but we are working to make sure it will be one where God gets all the glory.

Keep looking up. God has everything under control. While you’re looking up, remember to KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE & WASH YOUR HANDS.

    Blessings Always,

    Pastor
