Hi Springfield,

Happy July. We’ve made it to July. Believe me, that’s something to thank God for! If you’re like me, at times this year, I’ve felt like 2020 has been several years all rolled into one. Psalm 31:15 reminds us that our times are in His hands. Instead of despairing because of the times, let’s praise God for the time He has given us and in praising God, use our time wisely to serve Him.

YOUNG ADULT SUNDAY

As you know, July is a busy month at our church. In July we honor both our Young Adults and our Youth. This coming Sunday, July 5th, we will celebrate Young Adults Sunday. The Rev. Dr. Marco Tinor, pastor of the St. Paul Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, PA, will be our special guest speaker Sunday. We will celebrate Youth day Sunday, July 19th. I am grateful for all of our youth and young adults. It’s a blessing to be able to partner with God to help prepare the next generation for ministry, witness and service.

NEW MEMBERS CLASSES ON ZOOM

Shout out to our new members. We’re blessed to have people joining our church even during a global pandemic. We are working to put our new members class on ZOOM as well. You’ll be hearing more about that in the coming days. 

We also working on some other new and exciting things to keep our church unified, energized and focused for what lies ahead. Please continue to pray for our church, its leaders and members. 

Don’t forget to prepare your communion items as we observe communion on Sunday. 

And don’t forget to be careful in whatever you do as you celebrate the holiday weekend. Because you’re careful, I know you will … KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE & WASH YOUR HANDS.
