A Message from the Pastor-July 14, 2022

Youth Weekend, Professional Branding Workshop, Transportation Ministry, Revival Week, Runoff Election

    Hi Springfield,

Andrae Crouch’s words come to my mind today …

I’ve had many tears and sorrows,

    I’ve had questions for tomorrow,

There’s been times I didn’t know right from wrong.

    But in every situation,

    God gave me blessed consolation,

That my trials come to make me strong.

Through it all, Through it all

I’ve learned to trust in Jesus

I’ve learned to trust in God!

Through it all, Through it all

I’ve learned to depend upon His Word.

Here are some things happening at the Springfield Baptist Church.

    YOUTH WEEKEND

Youth weekend is coming up Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th.  In preparation, don’t forget about choir rehearsal Thursday, July 14th at 7pm and Saturday, July 16th at 10:30am. On Saturday, July 16th we’re asking all youth ages 12 to 17 and adults to come out at 9am as we clean our stretch of Auburn Knightdale Road. After choir rehearsal that morning, we’ll have a fun outing for our youth at Dave & Busters in Cary that you don’t want to miss. Also, I am designating Sunday, July 17th “Sneaker Sunday” for our 10am worship. I’m asking all youth, and anyone else who wants to be a part, to wear white shirts, jeans, and your best pair of sneakers as we worship God together. There are several other surprises that you don’t want to miss. Rev. Dr. Kia Hood-Scott will be our special guest preacher. Parents make plans now to have your youth in attendance.

    PROFESSIONAL BRANDING WORKSHOP

The Economic Empowerment Ministry and the Christian Education Ministry are teaming up to host a professional branding workshop on Saturday, July 23rd at 9am. This workshop is targeted at ages 16 to 35. This event is in-person only and it is aimed at teaching the power of professionalism and networking to help prepare for a bright future. Come out and be blessed.

    TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY

If you need a ride to church, please call the church at (919) 772-8078 ext. 310 and leave your name, number and pick-up address. All calls must be made BEFORE SATURDAY NIGHT AT 9PM to be on the pick-up list for Sunday morning.

Now that our church has resumed providing transportation on Sunday mornings, we need additional drivers to help meet that need. You do not need a CDL to drive our new church vans, but you do need a clean driving record. If you’re interested send an email to

    REVIVAL WEEK JULY 25TH – 29TH

Our revival is fast approaching. This year for revival on Monday night we’ll have a night or prayer. Our guest preachers for the revival are as follows: Rev. Dr. J. Vincent Terry (Tuesday); Bishop Sir Walter L. Mack, Jr., (Wednesday); Rev. Dr. Robert Charles Scott (Thursday.) We will culminate revival week with a what a fellowship service where we extend the right hand of fellowship to all those who have joined since March 2020. It’s going to be a powerful time in the Lord. More details to come.

    RUNOFF ELECTION

A 2nd Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, July 26th in Wake County. This ballot will feature run-offs for the democratic candidate for sheriff and council positions in the town of Cary. Make plans now to cast your ballot.

    QUICK REMINDERS
