Hi Springfield,

Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” That’s one of my favorite verses from one of my favorite psalms. The psalmists says one of the ways not to fall into sin is to hide God’s word in our hearts. You cannot hide something accidentally. It takes intentional effort and purpose to hide something. So, let’s commit to hide God’s word in our hearts to help promote our holiness, health and happiness.

Here are some of the exciting things we’re planning in the coming days and weeks at Springfield Baptist Church.

WOMEN’S MINISTRY

“Transitioning Through Quarantine” virtual conference is tomorrow morning at 11am. This conference is sponsored by our Women’s Ministry. The goal of this virtual conference is to help ladies start 2021 off right with self-care and spiritual formation. Here’s the link to tomorrow’s conference. GIVING STATEMENTS

This Sunday we will continue to distribute contribution statements. Statements for letters N through Z will be passed out immediately following service. I know the weather forecast is calling for inclement weather; however, please make plans to pick up your statement. Thank you to our faithful and dedicated deacons for helping spearhead this effort. 

DIVERSITY MARKETPLACE

The 2nd Diversity Marketplace is right around the corner. It’s happening Saturday, February 6th at 6pm. The first one was such a success, it’s back by popular demand. This is an opportunity for you to meet minority business owners and support their products while following social distancing guidelines. This experience is sponsored by the Economic Empowerment Ministry. All sales interactions are between you and the vendors. 

 

SCHOLARSHIP MINISTRY ANNOUNCEMENT

Undergraduates don’t miss your blessing! The Scholarship Ministry wants to be a blessing to our college students. The ministry is asking all Springfield undergraduates ages 18 to 24 currently enrolled in college, please submit your Fall 2020 transcript to . Sunday, February 14th is the deadline. 

 

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY NEWSLETTER

The latest version of the Children’s Ministry Newsletter has already gone out. Parents make sure your children have the opportunity to stay connected. Who knows, they may even receive a blessing for following the instructions inside the newsletter. Check it out and be blessed.
