Hi Springfield, 

We’re eight days away from Christmas. Eight days away from the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Eight days away from marking His entrance into the world. Eight days away from celebrating God’s greatest gift to mankind. Eight days away from the chance to re-live the impact His life has had on ours. Eight days away. Notice, I’ve said nothing about presents, toys or trinkets. That’s because what we celebrate in eight days is not just an event, it is a Person. “Manger-born but on a tree, You died to save humanity, You are the Living Word.” Keep this in mind for the next eight days. I promise it will help reduce the stress some of us feel around this time of year. 

 

FREE PRODUCE GIVEAWAY

Our last free produce giveaway is scheduled for this Saturday at 11am. I am so grateful that God has given us this wonderful opportunity to serve the community in this way. What a blessing it is to give these boxes of free produce to families who are in need during the holidays. Thank God for the opportunity to partner with the General Baptist State Convention. Shout out to our Missions Ministry who will help distribute the goods. Tell your neighbors and friends that Springfield is doing good in the neighborhood.  

 

ADVENT SERIES

The final installment of our Advent series will be this coming Tuesday, December 22th at 7pm during our Bible Study. I am thankful and proud of all the associate ministers of Springfield who have helped bring hope, joy, and peace through their messages. Tune in and be blessed! There will be NO BIBLE STUDY ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER 29th. WE will resume Bible study on January 5th.

 

PRAYER MEETING 

We will resume prayer meeting on January 6th at 7pm via Zoom. Because prayer is so important, I want to make sure that we work out all the kinks so that we can provide the best experience for all who plan to pray with us. Thank you for your patience.   

WATCH NIGHT 2021!

We’re working on some exciting plans for our church to bring in the New Year. This is something certainly worth celebrating. More details to come. Let’s ring in the new year praising God – HE is definitely worthy of all the praise for bring us through, up, over and out.
