2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Prayer still works and Lord knows, it’s still necessary. Let’s keep praying for ourselves, our families, our church, our community, and our world.
SPRINGFIELD CHRONICLES – GRADUATE EDITION
It’s graduation season. Congratulations to the class of 2022, but it won’t be a celebration without you. If you are in the class of 2022, please reach out to our Scholarship Ministry at and the SBC Chronicles at as soon as possible. Submit your graduation information to the scholarship ministry by May 29th. General articles for the newsletter are due by Sunday, June 5th.
MEN’S WEEKEND – JUNE 3RD THRU JUNE 5TH
We’re counting down to Men’s weekend Friday, June 3rd through Sunday, June 5th. Here’s a rundown of the exciting events planned for this weekend:
- Friday, June 3rd – Virtual Meet & Greet with Pastor Sturdivant. To join this virtual event, go to our website and click on the graphic.
- Saturday, June 4th – 10am Youth basketball skills competition. 11am Men’s basketball game.
- Sunday, June 5th – Men’s Day Worship celebration featuring Rev. Scottie Torain, Pastor of Miles Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Mebane, NC.
You do not want to miss this power-packed event.
SUPER DUPER SATURDAY – MINISTRY FAIR
On Saturday, June 11th all roads lead to Springfield Baptist Church for Super Duper Saturday. What is that you might ask? It’ll be a time for all our members new and old to re-engage with the ministries of our church during this church-wide ministry fair. It’s going to be epic – you do not want to miss this opportunity to find your fit in God’s kingdom. More details to follow.
Before we go, I just want to put on your radar that VBS is scheduled for Monday, June 20th through Friday, June 24th both in-person and virtual. Make plans now to attend.
