drive-thru fall festival, municipal elections, homecoming drive-in worship, initial sermon - bro. jerrick mclendon

    Hi Springfield,

What a wonderful time we’re having in our series JUICY FRUIT. The Lord continues to speak to us about the Fruit of the Spirit. This past Tuesday we talked about longsuffering and how God gives us hope in our trials and tribulations. Remember the words of one of my favorite verses in all the Bible – Psalm 43:5, “Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Keep holding on to your hope and God will see you through.

Here are some things we’re looking forward to in the coming weeks at the Springfield Baptist Church.

    DRIVE-THRU FALL FESTIVAL

On Sunday, October 31st at noon the Youth Ministry will host a Fall Festival drive-thru. The drive-thru will be like last year’s. During the drive-thru, treat bags will be passed out to our children and youth. Parents make sure your child has a “sweet” 5th Sunday. Bring them to the Fall Festival drive-thru!

    MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS

On Tuesday, November 2nd, elections will be held in several local municipalities including Angier, Apex, Durham, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Knightdale, Morrisville, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Wendell, and Zebulon. For more information on the election visit wakegov.com. Remember many have died and sacrificed for your opportunity to vote.  Good Christians are good citizens and good citizens vote.

    HOMECOMING DRIVE-IN WORSHIP

This year we will celebrate our 155th Church Anniversary. Homecoming 2021 is going to be an exciting time to celebrate the Lord for all He has done in the life of our church. The service on November 7th at 10am will be drive-in worship. Much work and planning has gone into this event. I want to thank everyone who has worked to make this event possible. In next week’s email, I will share some information about arrivals and parking. Again, we solicit your prayers and ask for your patience. I believe God will be glorified and can’t wait to see you there.

INITIAL SERMON – BRO. JERRICK MCLENDON

On Sunday, November 14th at 3pm Bro. Jerrick McLendon will preach his initial sermon. Jerrick has severed for years as one of our new members facilitators/teachers and he and his wife Chastity have led VBS for the past two years. We celebrate God for his elevation. This service will be streamed on our church website. Please make plans to view this historic event in the life of our church. Please keep Jerrick and his family in prayer.

That’s all for now. As usual, KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE, WEAR, WASH & WAIT.
