initial sermon - bro. jerrick mclendon, thanksgiving grocery giveaway, pre-thanksgiving service

    Hi Springfield,

On this Veterans Day we pause to honor all those who have served in the military to provide safety and security for our country. I am thankful for all the veterans both in our church and in our community. Veterans Day always remind me of all the many soldiers in the Army of the Lord. For every soldier, whether a member of Uncle Sam’s Army or the Lord’s Army, thank God that He blesses us to do what the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:3, “endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

INITIAL SERMON – BRO. JERRICK MCLENDON

On Sunday, November 14th at 3pm Bro. Jerrick McLendon will preach his initial sermon. Jerrick has severed for years as one of our new members facilitators/teachers and he and his wife Chastity have led VBS for the past two years. We celebrate God for his elevation. This service will be streamed on our church website. Please make plans to view this historic event in the life of our church. Please keep Bro. McLendon and his family in prayer.

    THANKSGIVING GROCERY GIVEAWAY

Springfield Baptist Church is intentional about being a blessing to our community. On Saturday, November 20th at 10am we will give away free groceries to those in need in our community. The groceries will be feature items to make a Thanksgiving meal. If you have questions or want to be part of the volunteer team, please call (919) 264-6937.

    PRE-THANKSGIVING SERVICE

On Wednesday, November 24th at 7pm, we will have our annual Pre-Thanksgiving service. The service will have in-person and you will be able to view it on our virtual platforms YouTube, Facebook and our website. Let’s make plans to praise the Lord together and thank Him for all He’s done.

That’s all for now. Stay tuned for more important information in the near future. As usual, KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE, WEAR, WASH & WAIT.
