Hi Springfield,

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (NIV) Proverbs 4:23 reminds us to guard your heart. Don’t let anything and everything in your heart. Negativity, foolishness, gossip, lies, bitterness, and grudges do not belong close to your heart, so when they come, don’t let them in! When was the last time you had a heart check? When was the last time you checked what came into your heart? You should not allow any and everything into your heart. Remember, good soul care involves good heart care. Because everything you do flows from your heart. 

This is another busy weekend of ministry at the Springfield Baptist Church. Here are some of the exciting things happening at our church.

VACCINATION EVENT

As you know, our church has been blessed to be able to partner with WakeMed for another vaccination event. The event will happen at St. Augustine’s Emery Gymnasium at 11am on Saturday.  Once you arrive on campus, there will be signs leading to the gym. If you registered by emailing and will receive the vaccine at St. Augustine’s, be sure to mention Springfield Baptist Church during your check-in. We praise God for the opportunity to continue to serve our church and community in this way. 

THE HIGH COST OF HIGHER EDUCATION

The High Cost of Higher Education seminar is this Saturday at 9am via Zoom. This workshop is being sponsored by our Economic Empowerment, Education and Scholarship ministries. You still have time to register for the breakout sessions. To do so, go to our website. Subjects to be discussed include:  saving for college, scholarships, avoiding student debt and how to complete the FAFSA.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY CHECK-INS

Later Saturday at 11am our Children’s Ministry will have a Zoom check-in. Our Children’s Ministry has some great things planned for our children up to age 12. This is just a time for the children of the church to come together virtually to help them stay connected to their friends and their church.

ROADSIDE CLEANUP

Roadside cleanup will take place this coming Saturday at 9am to beautify our stretch of Auburn-Knightdale road. This is a great time for our young people and high school students to provide community service hours. 

 

CORONAVIRUS CARE PACKAGES

Make plans now to attend our next Coronavirus care package giveaway. It’ll happen Saturday, March 27th, at 11am. The care packages are filled with groceries to help be a blessing to the community. Stop by pick up a package for yourself, a friend or a neighbor. Let’s remember we’re blessed to be a blessing.
