Hi Springfield,
On Sunday, I began a series of sermons from Psalm 27. I pray you will take time to read and meditate on it today. This Psalm has become one of my favorites because I can identify with David’s sentiments in the psalm. I have learned how to keep this psalm close to my heart over the past few months. It is confirmation of God’s goodness. It is comfort in storms. It is wisdom for the weary. I’m grateful that God instructed me to share it sermonically with you. I pray it’ll bless you the way is blesses me. Tune in Sunday for the next installment.
WMBA ORATORICAL CONTEST
I’m encouraging all our students grades 6 to 12 to participate in in the James F. Wentz Oratorical contest sponsored by the Wake Missionary Baptist Association. Springfield Baptist has had the privilege of being the home church to some recent winners. For more information contact Sis. Rosemary King by sending an email to . REOPENING 2.0 CORPORATE CHURCH FAST
Our corporate fast begins Monday, March 21st through Friday, March 25th. This Daniel Fast is no meats, no sweets, no treats. The fasting instructions are on our website. Remember the guiding question during our time of fasting is – what is the sacrifice for me? And don’t forget to join me Monday through Friday at 6:30am on our prayer conference line (775) 799-9067.
REOPENING PLAN 2.0
Here’s a brief look at our re-opening plan. All in-person worship opportunities will require TEMPERATURE CHECKS, MASKS, AND SOCIAL DISTANCING. This step is to continue to keep you safe.
- IN-PERSON PRAYER MEETING. Wednesday, March 23rd @ 7pm & Wednesday, March 30th @ 7pm. For those who will not be able to attend in-person, we will still stream prayer meeting virtually on our prayer meeting Zoom link.
- CHURCH CONFERENCE. Friday, April 1st @ 7pm. I pray you will make plans to attend this important meeting.
- IN-PERSON WORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES. Beginning Sunday, April 3rd our church will open for Sunday School at 8:30am and worship at 10am. We will also use the Daniel Sanders Multi-Purpose Center as overflow space.

GROCERY GIVEAWAY
Our Missionary Ministry will sponsor our next free grocery giveaway on Saturday, April 2nd. This is another way we are doing our best to be the friendly church in the curve reaching out to the world. More details to follow. I’m grateful for the ways God is using our church to be a blessing to our community.
FREE COVID-19 TESTING SITE
We continue to serve our community as a free COVID-19 PCR testing site. Thank God for our partners at Mako Medical for helping make this happen. Testing will be from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. Please help us spread the word in our community about this opportunity.
