A Message from the Pastor - July 1, 2021

young adult weekend, church office closed, phase III - bible study, graduation sunday, youth sunday

    Hi Springfield,

Second Thessalonians 3:16 says, “Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance.” (NASB) That’s such a powerful verse. I shared this verse last night in prayer meeting. It was such a blessing, I thought I’d back it up, rewind it, and say it again, today! We need God’s peace. It helps us fight off anxiety, worry, stress and fear. The verse reminds us that God will continually grant us His peace. Unlimited peace from a limitless God. That’s something to shout about.

    YOUNG ADULT WEEKEND

When was the last time you played kickball? Whether you are home from college, looking for something to do, or just want to connect with other young people your age – mark your calendars for Young Adult weekend Saturday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 4th.  There will be a youth vs. young adult kickball game Saturday, July 3rd beginning at 11am at 4203 Spring Forest Road in Raleigh, NC. For more information contact or call (919) 800-5009. Then make plans to tune in for service on Sunday as Rev. Dayhige Wright, pastor of Living Water Baptist Church, will be our special guest preacher. Come connect, have fun, and strengthen your faith with Springfield’s Young Adult Ministry.

    CHURCH OFFICE CLOSED

The church office will be closed on Monday, July 5th in observance of Independence Day.

    PHASE III – BIBLE STUDY

I’m pleased to announce that we’re entering Phase III of our reopening plan. Phase III begins Tuesday, July 6th at 7pm where we will have in-person Bible study. Children’s, youth, and new members classes will also be offered in person. Remember with each phase, masking, temperature checks, and social distancing are required. I want to thank you for all your assistance as we re-open. As we continue to walk toward our re-opening, remember to pack your Juicy Fruit.

    GRADUATION SUNDAY

On Sunday, July 11th we will celebrate our high school and college graduates. We are proud of your accomplishments and want to rejoice with you. The Scholarship Ministry is hosting a drive-thru graduation parade immediately after service on that day. We’re asking all 2021 graduates to wear your caps and gowns for the parade. Drive-thru and honor your favorite graduate.

    YOUTH SUNDAY

The busy month of July will continue the third Sunday as we celebrate our annual Youth Sunday. July 18th Min. Adrian Bullock, youth pastor of West Durham Baptist Church, will be our special guest speaker. The theme for this year is: “Renewed for the Battle!” Mark your calendars now for this power packed event.

Next week, we’ll share more details about our upcoming revival. In the meantime, KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE, WEAR, WASH & WAIT.
