A Message from the Pastor - January 27, 2022

A Message from the Pastor - January 27, 2022

n95 mask giveaway, family & friends day, contribution statements, springfield covid-19 testing site, mortgage assistance, prescription medicine help,

    Hi Springfield,

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,

    For His compassions never fail.

    They are new every morning;

Great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

What a wonderful reminder of God’s faithfulness. As shared in Bible study on Tuesday, God’s faithfulness should make us want to be more faithful. Let’s strive to develop our faith and faithfulness in 2022.

Here are a few things we’d like to make you aware of.

    N95 MASK GIVEAWAY

In conjunction with Wake County, our church has been selected to give away free N95 masks to help stop the spread of COVID-19 on Friday, January 28th beginning at 9am to 2pm. The giveaway is three masks per person, and you must be present to receive the masks. We thank God for this opportunity to serve our community.

    FAMILY & FRIENDS DAY

On January 30th we will celebrate Family & Friends Day with a virtual service. I’m excited about this service and the special guest speaker. He qualifies as both. My big brother, Rev. Carlton J. Sturdivant, pastor of the Wentworth Baptist Church, will be our special guest speaker. Make plans to tune in.

    CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS

You’re running out of time to choose how you’d like to receive your 2021 contribution statements. This year you have an option to receive your statement via email or have it mailed to your residential address. To choose to how you’d like to receive your statement you can click on this link https://www.springfieldbaptistchurch.com/news/news/annual-contribution-statement-preference-form/ or you can call (919) 772-8078 ext. 320 and leave your name, address and phone number. Each member will receive two giving contribution sheets – one representing giving from January 2021 through June 2021; the other showing giving from July 2021 through December 2021.

    SPRINGFIELD COVID-19 TESTING SITE

Beginning Tuesday, February 1st, the Springfield Baptist Church will once again be a COVID-19 testing site. This time we are partnering with Mako Medical. Testing will be from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. As you can imagine, this is a major undertaking, and it will require the patience and prayers of our members to help make it go well. Thank God for the efforts of our Health Care Ministry and all those involved in this effort.

    MORTGAGE ASSISTANCE

The NC Homeowner Assistance Fund has funds available to help families impacted by COVID catch up on their mortgages, taxes, HOA fees and pay three months of mortgage payments in advance. Go to nchaf.gov to find out more information from the website. The assistance comes to our state through the US Department of the Treasury.

    PRESCRIPTION MEDICINE HELP

Several recent news reports have touted a new venture that may help you save money on your medio to cations. The CostPlus Drug Company is offering several generic prescriptions at a reduced cost. Go to costplusdrugs.com to sign up.

    VIRTUAL ONLY

Springfield our worship will remain virtual until further notice. This means all our services and planned events will be virtual as we continue our pause due to the latest COVID outbreak. Please continue to pray with us that God’s wisdom and guidance will lead us as we move closer toward the day when we will be able to regather.

What do we do in the meantime? KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE, WEAR, WASH, & WAIT.

    Pastor
