A Message from the Pastor - February 26, 2021

NC Baptist Ushers Convention, Sunday School Distribution, Minority Owned Business Support and more.

    Hi Springfield,

“Time is filled with swift transition,

Naught of earth unmoved can stand.

Build your hopes on things eternal.

    Hold to God’s unchanging hand.”

Time being filled with swift transition means change is one of life’s only constant. As we deal with change, let’s be thankful that God is the same yesterday, today and forever more. If there were ever a time when we should take the advice of Jennie Wilson’s most famous hymn, the time is now. Hold to His hand. Hold on to God’s unchanging hand.

Here are some of the exciting things happening at our church.

NC BAPTIST USHERS CONVENTION ONE-DAY SESSION

On Saturday, we will host the NC Baptist Ushers Convention annual one-day virtual session. The session will start at 10am. You can access the service on whatever platform you use to watch our normal services. Pray for me as I will be the session preacher. We thank God for the opportunity to host and be part of the General Baptist State Convention.

    SUNDAY SCHOOL BOOK DISTRIBUTION

It’s that time again. As you know, we are approaching the end of the quarter for our Sunday School books. Our drive-thru book distribution will be distributed this Saturday, February 27th at 11am. Please make plans to come by to pick one up while supplies last.

    SUPPORT MINORITY OWNED BUSINESS

This February please remember to support minority owned businesses. On our website, under the online documents tab, there’s a business directory that you can reference to find some local minority owned businesses. Let’s do our part to continue Black History.

    REOPENING COMMITTEE

Springfield, I wanted to take a moment and thank God for our Reopening Committee. The committee has been working very hard over the past four months to come up with an effective plan on reopening our church. I can’t wait for all the saints to come back together, but in the meantime, we will wait on the Lord be of good courage and let the Lord strengthen our hearts. We’ll have more details to pass along as soon as they become available. Let’s commit to pray with and for the committee and the important work they are doing.

Blessings to all. As usual, KEEP THE FAITH, STAY SAFE, WEAR, WASH & WAIT.
