“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us.” 1 John 5:14. Here John, the beloved disciple, encourages the early church about the discipline of prayer. John reminds them and us when we pray, we should pray with confidence because when we pray according to God’s will, God hears us. As you know this is a praying time. So much is going on in our world and in our communities that we need to pray. The list of things we need to pray about is too long to present here. Though this list is long, our God is able! So, approach His throne with confidence knowing that whatever we ask in His name – HE HEARS US!!!
ROADSIDE CLEANUP
This Saturday is another opportunity to keep our stretch of Auburn Knightdale Road clean and pristine. Cleanup starts at 9am. Please come out and help our cleaning crew tidy up our church’s adopted portion of the road.
HERITAGE SUNDAY
Springfield we will celebrate Heritage Sunday on February 27th. Make sure your family is part of the heritage picture collage by submitting a picture in your heritage attire and sending it to . The deadline for your submission is Sunday, February 20th. Smile and give God the glory because you don’t look like what you’ve been through.
NEW MEMBERS ORIENTATION – SUPER SUNDAY
Next Saturday, February 26th, we will hold a virtual new members orientation at 10am. We’re calling it Super Saturday! This informative session will be designed to help our new members get acclimated to Springfield and provide some basic information. I look forward to being able to spend time with our new members in this format and hope to see you there. Zoom link and more details to follow.
SUNDAY SCHOOL DISTRIBUTION
Also on Saturday, February 26th at 1pm the Christian Education department will be passing out Sunday School books for the next quarter. If you need a Sunday School book, please mark your calendars to drive-through at receive a Sunday School book.
FREE COVID-19 TESTING SITE
We continue to serve our community as a free COVID-19 PCR testing site. Thank God for our partners at Mako Medical for helping make this happen. Testing will be from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday. Please help us spread the word in our community about this opportunity.
