Hi Springfield,

One line in the Christmas carol “Joy to the World” says “let every heart prepare Him room …” That in essence is what the Advent season is all about. It’s about making sure that your heart has prepared room for Jesus. We do so much during this season to prepare room. We prepare room for guests who may stay overnight. We prepare our budget for the gifts we will purchase for others. We prepare our kitchens for the meals we’ll cook. All that’s good. But have we prepared our hearts to receive the direction, correction, and inspection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? This season, let every heart prepare Him room!

WOMEN’S MINISTRY VIRTUAL EVENT

This Saturday, December 11^th at 11am our Women’s Ministry will host a virtual Christmas event. This is the final event in this year’s Transitioning through Quarantine series. Come relax, relate, and release with the ladies of Springfield Baptist Church!

ADVENT PREACHING SERIES

Our Advent Preaching Series got off to an amazing start last week. It continues this coming Tuesday, December 14^th at 7pm. The series focuses on the love, joy, and peace that Christ’s birth brings to the heart of believers. Please join me and our dynamic associates as we prepare our hearts for the Christmas season.

URGENT *** ANGEL TREE DONATIONS *** URGENT

We are in urgent need of donations for this year’s Angel Tree effort. In lieu of dropping off gifts, we will present families with gift cards to help spread holiday cheer. The December 15^th deadline for all donations is quickly approaching. We need your help. To help please purchase a gift card from Walmart or Target and drop it off in the giving slot on the seal side of the sanctuary facing Auburn Knightdale Road. The gift cards will go to assist students in need at East Garner Elementary School and PAVE SE Raleigh Charter School.
