Hi Springfield,

I trust you are well this Thursday. God is good and His mercies endure forever! I’m grateful for the opportunity to communicate with you through our email blasts. I pray that the weekly information shared in this email keeps you informed and encouraged about the many things happening at our church.

Effective immediately all in-person worship is suspended. This means until further notice you will not be able to come to the church to worship for Sunday School, Morning Worship, Bible Study, Prayer Meeting, funerals, or any of our other regularly scheduled meetings at the church. This change is in response to the rising COVID-19 numbers in our area. The Deacons, the Re-Opening Committee, and I will reassess our situation in the future and let you know when and how we will be able to regather as a church.

Please know that this decision was made out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our flock. I know some of you may be disappointed by this latest series of events, as I am. I hope and pray that we will be able to worship together again in the near future. For the time being, please continue to enjoy our worship events online, as you have in the past, via our website at www.springfieldbaptistchurch.com, or on the Springfield Baptist Church Facebook page or YouTube Channel. Please continue to continue to give virtually as you have in the past.

I also want to encourage you to do your part in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19 by getting your vaccination and booster shots and continuing to be diligent in wearing your mask, socially distancing, washing your hands, and being mindful of your health and safety. Where we as a church can help with stopping the spread of COVID-19, we will. Where we as a church can find ways to help and be a blessing to our community, we will. The world needs us to be the church now more than ever before and I thank you for helping us be a witness for Jesus Christ.  

Because of these changes, our Watch Night service is virtual only. It will be shown both at 7pm and at 10:45pm on Friday, December 31^st, 2021. You don’t want to miss this powerful service. Join us as we say goodbye to 2021 and praise God for 2022.

Please know that I love you all and thank God for you. I am honored and humbled to serve as under-shepherd of the Springfield Baptist Church. Let’s continue to keep the faith, stay safe and believe that God will see us through!
