A Message from the Pastor - December 10, 2020

Thursday, Dec 10th COVID-19 Testing Cancelled, Free Produce Giveaway, Drive-in production, Advent Series, Prayer Meeting and Senior Citizen addresses.

    Hi Springfield,

1 Corinthians 16:13 & 14 say, “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” These are the words of the apostle Paul as he commends and encourages the church at Corinth. Paul’s words are just as powerful today to us as they were to the church at Corinth all those years ago. “Be on your guard” against the wiles of the devil. “Stand firm in the faith” and do not waiver even in times of difficulty. “Be courageous” enough to face each trial with faith and hope. “Be strong” in the Lord remembering His strength is made perfect in our weakness. “Do everything in love” – love for God, love for others and love for yourself. In the same way Paul encouraged his church with those words, let me encourage us today. As we follow God’s word and will, He will see us through.

    TODAY’S COVID TESTING CANCELLED

Our planned COVID-19 testing for today has been cancelled. Our next opportunity for COVID-19 testing will be with Advance Community Health on December 16th from 10am to 3pm. Make plans now to be tested.

    FREE PRODUCE GIVEAWAY

This Saturday at 11am will be our second free produce giveaway. Our first produce giveaway was a big success. These boxes of produce are first come, first serve. We thank God for the opportunity to partner with the General Baptist State Convention to help those in need. Shout out to our Missions Ministry who will help distribute the goods. If you’d like to volunteer, please email:

    DRAMA MINISTRY CHRISTMAS DRIVE-IN

Countdown to “Christmas Hope!” On Saturday, December 12th at 5pm we’re going to replay an oldie but goodie Christmas production from 2019 drive-in style. Come with your blankets and hot chocolate and enjoy this wonderful spirit-filled production from the comfort of your car. Parking will begin at 4pm as our Sunday School will pass out Christmas bags.

    ADVENT SERIES

Our Advent series will continue this coming Tuesday, December 15th at 7pm during our Bible Study time as we continue to focus on the hope, joy, and peace that Jesus brings. Jesus is the reason for the season, and He is worthy of all praise.  Tune in and be blessed!

    PRAYER MEETING

Our next prayer meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 16th at 7pm via Zoom. Thanks to all those who tuned in on yesterday. I believe God is calling us back to the discipline of prayer. Tune in and be blessed.
