“The Lord is my light and my salvation – whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1) The first part of that verse is on my heart today. The Lord is my light and my salvation! In darkness, He’s the one who brightens. In trouble, He’s the one who saves! I hope He continues to be your light and salvation as well. I thank God for another opportunity to share with you via our email blast and hope you are having a triumphant Thursday.

There’s a lot of information that I need to share with you today.

CORONAVIRUS CARE PACKAGE GIVE AWAY
On Saturday morning at 11am we will have our second “Coronavirus Care Package” give away. Much work and preparation has gone into this effort and I thank everyone who has helped to make this effort possible. Our effort Saturday will be supported by members of our Women’s Ministry. For those who plan to drive through, Please, remain in your car as we serve you. The packages will be given away one per car, so that we may serve as many people as possible.

WOMEN’S DAY
We will also be celebrating Women’s Day this coming Sunday. Pastor Melissa Keen Little, staff pastor at World Victory International Christian Center in Greensboro, NC, will be our special guest speaker. We have some other special things planned that I am sure will be a blessing to you.

HOLY COMMUNION
On this coming Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion. We will celebrate it the same way we did on Resurrection Sunday morning. I am asking you to set aside elements to be used for communion. If you have crackers, bread, juice or water at your home, please prepare them as we will commune together. We will bless and sanctify them. Don’t let what you don’t have to stop you from remembering Jesus.

SMALL BUSINESS HELP
Lastly, I want to share with you some important information about some help for our members who are small business owners. There is a program called NC Rapid Recovery that is supported by the Golden Leaf Foundation. This program is designed to support small business in NC like restaurants, barber shops, beauty salons, etc. Our state legislature is expected to set aside more money to fund this program in the coming days.
