Hi Springfield,

Fall is a time of change and transition. Fall reminds us that God can bring new life
and new opportunities in the middle of what seems stagnant and stalled. Let me
speak a word to those of you who may feel stuck. Hear the word of the Lord from
Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…” Here in
Isaiah 43, God is giving people who have been exiled a new way of understanding
who He is. God doesn’t want the people to be stuck in the problems of their past,
but He wants them to know He has the power to bring about a new and different
outcome. If you believe God is doing something new, thank Him before you see it
and trust that He is working it out.

 

MINISTRY BUDGETS 2023

Attention all ministry leaders. It’s budgeting time. As we prepare for the 2023
budget, we need your ministry to submit their budget request by September 30th .
The budget packet is on our website under online documents. There’s also a quick
budget video tutorial online to help guide you in the process. We look forward to
all the Lord will do through your ministries in 2023. If you have any questions,
please call the church office.

SUNDAY SCHOOL MATERIAL DELAY

Unfortunately, we’re still experiencing delays in the shipment of our Sunday
School books. In the meantime, you can go to our website to get the Sunday
School material. To get Sunday School material, go to our homepage and click on
the tab that says Sunday School and it will direct you to the class material. Please
continue to pray with us as we work through these challenges.

 

WOMEN MINISTRY CIRCLES

On Saturday, September 10th at 10am the Women’s Ministry will continue their
reading club discussion of Henri Nouwen’s book Spiritual Direction: Wisdom for
the Long Walk of Faith. This talk will examine chapters 5 through 7. This event will
be in-person (in rooms 182 & 183 in the MPC) and virtual. To access the event

ANNUAL CHURCH OUTING – SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17TH

Our annual church outing is right around the corner. This year’s outing will be at
Lake Benson in Garner on Saturday, September 17th from 11am to 4pm. We are
excited about this amazing time of fellowship and fun. Thanks to all the
volunteers who will help serve during this time. Our volunteer prep meeting is
this coming Thursday at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. The volunteer meeting will be
in-person and on Zoom.

 

REMINDERS/LOOK AHEAD

● The Drama Ministry will be holding auditions for the Christmas production
on Saturday, September 24th . If you want a part in the production, mark
your calendars. More information to come.

Mako Medical. PCR testing is Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm.
