In accordance with the meaning of the work and practice of the New Testament, deacons are to be servants of the church.
It shall be the duty of the deacons to assist and to serve with the pastor in promoting the spiritual welfare of the church and in leading the church to achieve its mission; proclaim the gospel to believers and unbelievers; to care for the pastor; exercise prudent watch care over the church membership and other persons in the community; determine the need for assistance of it’s members; visit the sick; examine with the pastor candidates for church membership; assist at baptisms and supervise the preparation and distribution of the Lord’s Supper.
It is the obligation of the deacons to be available to the pastor and the members at all times. Please do not hesitate to call us for any situation that may occur in your lives.
