PRAYER MINISTRY

CHURCH VISION STATEMENT:
To become a united body of saved believers in the Lordship of Jesus as Christ, ever moving forward to explore and discover the truths of God’s Word and expound them to the body that we may grow to exercise these truths through the development of ministries for service in every area of need to all people whose lives are challenged spiritually, morally, socially, and physically which is the fulfillment of His “Great Commission.”
   
THE MISSION:
-To involve itself in the teaching, training and developing prayer warriors from the body of believers of Jesus Christ within the church, AND

-To go out, empower, enlighten, encourage and strengthen people in our community, our state, our nation and our world through the offensive power of prayer.
   
THE PLAN OF ACTION:
-Reaching out to the community in providing prayer in their homes, rest homes, hospitals and churches.

-Providing basic teaching on what is prayer, how to pray, hindrances to prayer; using the Bible in prayer, prayer and spiritual warfare; prayer and fasting, the Holy Spirit-our Helper in prayer, Jesus-our example in prayer, answers to questions about prayer, etc.

THE FUTURE OBJECTIVES:
-To develop teams of prayer intercessors for the church.
-To sponsor an annual seminar on prayer for the church and the community.
-To establish a youth prayer group.
-To sponsor, at the church, a national prayer service/program for the church.
-To sponsor a encouragement program and/or speaker for the Prayer Ministry
  members/intercessors and prayer warriors at other churches/in the community.  

THE TIME:
-Every first Saturday on each month @ 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall building of Springfield Baptist Church. The third Saturday of each quarter, visits will take place (Unless otherwise notified)

-Meetings are open to all members of Springfield Baptist Church. All interested parties can contact Reverend Gene Troy, Jr., Reverend Donald King, attend the next scheduled ministry meeting or send a request for information about the prayer ministry at prayerm@springfieldbaptistchurch.com
